Terms & Booking Policy

About DNA
DNA Weekend offers application-based bachata training and social-dance experiences in Madrid. Participation is limited, and admission is not automatic.
Application and acceptance
Every application is reviewed by the DNA Team.
Applicants will receive one of three results:
- Accepted
- Waitlisted
- Not selected for this edition
Submitting an application does not reserve a place and does not guarantee acceptance. Acceptance is personal and cannot be transferred without prior written approval from the DNA Team.
Payment and confirmation
If an applicant is accepted, the applicant will receive an acceptance email from the DNA Team containing the complete payment instructions.
The acceptance email will clearly state:
- The accepted product
- The relevant event dates
- The total price
- The total final amount due
- The accepted payment method
- The payment deadline
- A link to the Terms & Booking Policy
- The applicable cancellation and refund conditions
Acceptance remains provisional until the full payment has been received.
Unless a different deadline is explicitly stated in the acceptance email, full payment must be completed within 72 hours after the acceptance email is sent.
If full payment is not received by the stated deadline, the acceptance may expire and the place may be offered to another applicant or to someone on the waiting list.
The participant's place is officially confirmed only after full payment has been received. After receiving the payment, DNA will send the participant written confirmation by email.
The website itself does not currently process payments. Accepted applicants receive payment instructions directly by email.
Participant cancellation
Because DNA is a limited-capacity and application-based experience, payments are non-refundable if the participant cancels, changes their plans or is unable to attend. This applies except where a refund is required by applicable law.
A participant who can no longer attend may request to transfer the booking to another eligible dancer.
Any replacement participant must:
- Submit an application
- Be approved by the DNA Team
- Meet the required experience level
- Be compatible with the group's role balance
Transfers are subject to written approval from the DNA Team and are not guaranteed. An unapproved transfer or resale of a place is not permitted.
Event cancellation or postponement
If DNA cancels the event, participation fees paid directly to DNA will be refunded.
DNA is not responsible for:
- Flights
- Accommodation
- Transportation
- Travel insurance
- Visa costs
- Bank or currency-conversion fees
- Other third-party expenses
If the event is postponed, participants will be offered either:
- A transfer of their booking to the new dates, or
- A refund of the participation fees paid directly to DNA
Program, schedule and artist changes
The schedule, teaching team, invited artists, venues or individual activities may be adjusted when reasonably necessary. Reasonable changes do not automatically create a right to a refund, provided that the essential format, purpose and value of the purchased experience are maintained.
Travel and accommodation
Flights, accommodation, travel insurance and transportation to Madrid are not included unless explicitly stated otherwise. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase appropriate travel insurance that covers cancellation, illness, injury and travel disruption.
Participant responsibility
Participants are responsible for informing the DNA Team about any relevant injury, medical limitation or condition that may affect their safe participation.
Participants must follow reasonable safety instructions and behave respectfully toward:
- Teachers
- Artists
- Staff members
- Venues
- Other participants
DNA reserves the right to remove a participant for dangerous, abusive, discriminatory, harassing or seriously disruptive behaviour. In such a case, no refund will be provided, except where required by applicable law.
Photography and video
Photography and filming may take place during DNA activities. Images and recordings may be used to document and promote DNA events, subject to applicable privacy and image-rights laws. Participants with a specific privacy or image-use concern should contact dnaweekend.info@gmail.com before the event.
Intellectual property
Workshop content, teaching materials, brand assets, logos and other original DNA materials may not be reproduced, sold or used commercially without written permission. Personal recordings during workshops may be restricted at the request of the teaching team.
Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights provided by applicable law.
